Coming Saturday, at one of the longest running jazz concerts in Amsterdam – The Cotton Club- a good friend and local jazz guitarist Dan Nicolas will be performing with a special guest saxophonist from New York City. The Cotton Club is very centrally located just off the New Market Square and not to far from the Red Light District. For such a central location the beer is surprisingly cheap but it’s a small location that fills up fast so arrive early to be near the action. It’s an early concert and should kick off around 4pm until 8pm.
The line-up will be:
Dmitry Baevsky(Rus/US) – alto sax
Dan Nicholas(US) – Guitar
Johnny Daly(IR) – bass
Jamie Peet(NL) – drums
Dan, originally from NYC, has call The Netherlands home since 2001. He started Equinox Jazz Promotions which supports the Dutch Jazz scene on a weekly basis and brings together top-notch jazz musicians from around the world. Be sure to check out their site for all the latest information on their concerts.
